 The purpose of forming the Big Sky Pro-Racing Association (Rocky Mountain Stocks)was simply to establish an association that will abide by a set of easy to understand, affordable rules that will be strictly enforced. With that premise in mind, BSPRA shall make sure that anyone who races in this class is very aware of this objective, to the extent of signing an affidavit agreeing to such.  DOVES is a private, non-profit crime victim advocate organization. DOVE's mission is to address and prevent domestic and sexual violence in Lake County and on the Flathead Indian Reservation through community outreach, prevention education and information, and advocacy for victims of violent crime. Services provided by DOVES include: a toll-free 24-hour hotline, support groups, community training, assistance in obtaining orders of protection, crisis intervention, information and referrals, legal and personal advocacy, accompaniment to court proceedings, pro bono legal services for those who qualify, and emergency financial assistance.

 Kiwanis is an international service organization dedicated to working with and helping children in our community. Kiwanis provides scholarships to area youths and sponsors the K-Club and K-Kids both of which are very active in Polson. The club also heads up Halloween parties and various fundraisers.  Built in 1938, the City owned John Dowdall Theatre has been renovated and is maintained by the non- profit organization, Mission Valley Friends of the Arts (MVFA.) Under a twenty-year lease with the City of Polson, the MVFA has an agreement with the Port Polson Players, to serve as caretakers for the facility. Neal and Karen Lewing, Managing and Artistic Directors for the Players, also serve as Secretarial and Administrative Directors for the MVFA. All fundraising drives for MVFA, follow up, publicity, building maintenance, contracted renovation, grant assistance, accountability and facilitation are conducted by the Lewings, on behalf “The Friends.” MVFA doesn’t pay them for these services. They trade out use of the facility to produce theatre.

 Polson Fairgrounds Inc. is a non profit organization devoted to maintaining and improving the Lake County owned Fairground/Rodeo property. The facility is available for rent at a very nominal fee, must carry own liability insurance. The grounds include a large arena, partially covered grandstand that seats approx 2500, concession stand, restrooms, corrals and two horse barns. Stalls are available to rent for events or travelers. Events held here include Rodeo's, Horse Shows, Mini Car Races, Mud Bog races, 4H Events, Concerts, Car Shows, Family Reunions, Flea Markets, etc. No electric or water hookups are available, dry camping allowed for certain events only, not open to general public camping. The 39 acre property lies next to the Polson Airport, just north of the Polson Bridge, easily accessible to town.

 Open from Memorial Day though Labor Day, visit the Polson-Flathead Historical Museum located at 708 Main Street and share in the heritage of the Mission Valley and Flathead Lake. Take a few minutes or a few hours and rub elbows with Flathead history, finding fascinating displays of the hardy valley homesteaders, steam boaters, cattle ranchers, the development of Polson, as well as a pictorial history of the construction of Kerr Dam, area wildlife, and Indian artifacts. Hours are Monday thru Saturday 9AM-6PM and Sunday noon to 6PM.
