US FOUNDATION LIFE JACKET LOANER PROGRAM FOR KIDS
This year Providence St Joseph Medical Center is continuing to help keep kids safe while on the water by participating in the Boat US Foundation Life Jacket Loaner Program for Kids.  This program, made possible by the Boat US Foundation for Boating Safety and Clean Water, allows boaters to borrow a child's life jacket for the day or the weekend at no charge.  Simply visit the St Joseph Medical Center Emergency Dept, #6 13th Ave E in Polson and sign out an infant, child or youth jacket.  When you're finished return the jackets to the same location.  For more information call 406-883-8423.

PROVIDENCE SPORTS PHYSICALS
Providence St. Joseph Medical Center is offering discounted sports physicals for school athletes.  Tuesday, August 4th & Thursday August 13th from 3:30pm to 6pm at St. Joseph Medical center in Polson.  Sports physicals will be performed for any Polson school athletes for only $30 cash or check, no credit cards or insurance.  All proceeds are donated back to the Polson Athletics program.  Physical forms are available on the Montana High School Association website.  Call 883-5680 for more information.

 The Flathead Lake Biological Station's (FLBS) annual Open House provides an opportunity for the interested public to learn more about the ecology of Flathead Lake and its watershed, as well as FLBS and its research around the globe.  The open house allows FLBS scientists to showcase the breadth of their activities, as well as show examples of how ecological research at FLBS benefits Flathead Lake and subsequently area visitors and residents.  Join us on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. 44TH ANNUAL SANDPIPER ART FESTIVAL
Founded in 1971, the Sandpiper Art Festival is a one day juried show featuring original fine art and artisan crafts. It is held on the Lake County, Montana, courthouse lawn from 10am to 5pm. All artists and artisans are encouraged to apply. The Sandpiper Art Festival is typically attended by thousands of visitors. The Festival offers you both an opportunity for sales and exposure to new, potential patrons. NEW for 2015: Vendors will pay a flat booth fee of $75.00; there will be no commission on sales. All funds raised by the Festival go to support the Scholarship fund and the general operation of the non-profit member-run cooperative Sandpiper Art Gallery in Polson, Montana. MERLOT MADNESS
Come join use for our mid summer celebration- Merlot Madness at Mission Mountain Winery Saturday August 8th, 10am-6pm. We will be doing a free vertical tasting of three of our International Gold Medal winning Merlots from the 2005, 2006 and our 2009 vintage. This is a part of the winery’s continuing program to educate the community about the aging and care of fine wine. What is a vertical tasting? It is the presentation of wine from older to younger vintages allowing one to see the effects of time upon a wine from the same place. Mission Mountain Winery is located on Highway 93 in Dayton on the west shore of beautiful Flathead Lake.

The Mission Valley Animal Shelter will be having their Spay-ghetti and No Meat Balls Dinner on Thursday, August 13 at the Polson Elks Lodge to benefit spay/neuter programs. FIRST ANNUAL FLATHEAD LAKE FESTIVAL OF ART
Sandpiper Art and Gift Gallery is pleased to announce an exciting new two-day juried show, featuring original fine art and fine craft. It will be held at the edge of the bay in Sacajawea Park in Polson, Montana on August 15th & 16th. Flathead Lake Festival of Art is partnering with the established and successful Flathead Lake Blues Festival (now in its 5th year). These two events provide a scenic daytime venue for talented artists and two evenings of great music, Friday and Saturday from 6:00 PM until midnight. The events are at adjacent locations, with art at Sacajawea Park and music at Salish Point, with high visibility from Highway 93 and Polson Bay.

The Mission Valley Christian Academy is sponsoring a car show on Saturday, September 26, 2015 in Polson, Montana at the Mission Valley Christian Academy located at 38907 Hwy 35.
