SANDPIPER ART GALLERY OPEN SHOW
The Sandpiper Art Gallery's first open show of 2015 opens Monday, April 6 and runs through Saturday, May 16.  The "R" In Art is a non-jurried show open to all artists.  There is a small entry fee for non Sandpiper member artists.  For more information call the Gallery at 883-5956.

LIBRARY FINES FORGIVEN FOR FOOD
North Lake County Public Library in Polson is offering its traditional forgiveness of fines during National Library Week, April 13-18.  Patrons with overdue items or fines are encouraged to bring one item of canned or packaged food to the library for each item that is late.  Fines will be waived.  All food contributions will be donated to the Polson Loaves and Fish Food Pantry.  For more information call 883-8225.

PFI ANNUAL COWBOY BALL, BANQUET & AUCTION
Polson Fairgrounds, Inc 25th Annual fundraising Banquet, Auction and Cowboy Ball will be held Friday, April 17, 2015 under the Big Tent at the Polson Fairgrounds.  No host cocktails and silent auction at 5:30 PM, dinner at 6:30 PM, live auction at 7:30 PM with dancing to follow.  A delicious baron of beef dinner will be catered by Max Nash and Hog Boss Catering. Tickets are $40 each and can be purchased at Gull Printing, Crow's Nest Gallery, Wild Horse Framing or from any PFI Board member.   Proceeds to benefit Fairground improvement and your donations are tax deductible.  They are seeking donations of any type-large or small for the Silent and Live Auctions. CLEAN UP! GREEN UP!
The Beautification Committee of Envision Polson! is planning the annual community wide clean up on Friday, April 24 from 9AM-5PM.  This year they hope to make it more "user friendly" and this is a community effort.  As you all know, the first step to having a beautiful, welcoming community is to have it trash free.  Headquarters will be located at the North Lake County Public Library to pick up trash bags, gloves & assignment areas for clean up.   Following clean up there will be a no host gathering at Glacier Brewing Company at 5PM. ANNUAL RED WINE AND CHOCOLATE EVENT
Mission Mountain Winery annual event Red Wine and Chocolate will be Saturday May 2nd from 10am to 5pm. This is a chance for visitors to learn about the food and wine pairings of various chocolate delights and their corresponding red wines. This free event is a part of the winery's continuing program to educate the community about the pleasurable synergies created by the pairing of food and wine. Come try out the chocolate fountain and the numerous chocolate treats with our most recent international gold medal winning red wines, 2008 Merlot Reserve and 2009 Monster Red. 1ST ANNUAL POKER PADDLE
The Flathead Lakers present the 1st Annual Poker Paddle to be held Sunday, July 12 on King's Point.  Cost is $50 for the first hand (includes meal and raffle ticket plus registration good bag), up to 2 additional hands for $30 each. Players must be at least 18 years old.  All proceeds go to the Flathead Lakers work to support clean water, healthy ecosystems and a lasting quality of life in the Flathead Watershed.  Prizes for best and worst hand, and possibly for most extravagantly decorated boat.  For more information call 406-883-1341.

LIVE HISTORY DAYS
Mark your calendars for a fun-filled weekend at the Miracle of America Museum located at 36094 Memory Lane on July 18 and July 19, 2015!  There will be historic movies Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon. FLATHEAD LAKE 3-ON-3 HOOP SHOOT
The 23rd annual Flathead Lake 3-on-3 tournament will be on Main Street in Polson on July 24, 25 and 26th with 300 teams. All proceeds are donated back to the community including $1,000 to Chamber Beautification. To enter and for bracket and other information go to www.flatheadlake3on3.com. Packet pick up is on Friday, 7/24 from 5-9pm at First Citizens Bank. SMOKIN' ON THE WATER
Please join us for the 7th Annual Smokin' On The Water BBQ Cook-Off on Saturday, August 1, from 11AM-6PM at the KwaTaqNuk Resort. This years event will include BBQ, Brew Tour, Live Music, Games, Giveaways, and Vendors! Cash prizes and trophies awarded in all BBQ categories!  Parking may be an issue, so we will be running a shuttle all day to and from Linderman Elementary School. We hope to see you there! WATER DAZE

The 4th annual Polson Triathlon will be held on Saturday, August 15 at Riverside Park.  Race starts at 8:40AM. Sign up by April 30 and receive the bargain early entry price of only $60.  Field will be capped at 200 racers, so don't wait too long. POLSON FLY IN
Chapter 1122 of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) will be hosting the 17th Annual Polson Fly-In at the Polson Airport on Saturday, September 12th and admission is FREE!  The public is invited to join pilots for an exciting day of aviation activities, beginning with a pancake breakfast at 8AM. Static displays, float planes, antique aircraft, experimental airplanes, & homebuilts. Concessions & Raffles will be available.
