FAMILY SUMMER READING PROGRAM
North Lake County Public Library's annual Family Summer Reading Program is starting soon!  Thank you to the many generous community donors, readers of all ages are excitedly looking forward to taking part!  Registration starts on Monday, June 8th and the program will run through Friday, August 7th.  The library appreciates the community's direct participation in making the program such a big success each year.

CIRCUS & CARNIVAL
Come join the fun on Saturday June 27th for the Circus & Carnival to be held at the Lake County Fairgrounds to benefit Safe Harbor. Circus show times are 2PM & 4:30PM and the Carnival will run from noon to 6PM.  Tickets purchased in advance are $10 for adults, $6 for children 2-12 and under 2 are free.  Tickets the day of the event are $13 for adults and $7 for children.  For tickets call 676-9242.

The Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana's "First Saturday" event is July 4 and the featured artist is Dion Albert, who specializes in the construction of birch bark baskets.  Albert, an accomplished multi-medium artist, will be on hand to visit with the public and showcase his art from 10AM to PM on Saturday in the museum's gift shop area.

JULY 4 PARADE
Please join us for the July 4th Parade in downtown Polson beginning at Noon.  Parade entry forms are available at the Chamber office or click here.  Entry forms must be returned to the Polson Chamber office by July 3rd. The parade will begin at Cherry Valley Elementary School, Head down Main Street, turning at 3rd Ave and ending on the following block. The 7th Annual Firecracker Fun Run will be held on Thursday, July 4th.  The Polson 1 mile walk/run starting at 11:45AM at St Joseph Medical Center.  We will start the parade with a quick walk or run down Main Street before the parade starts.  Cost is a non-perishable food item to be donated to Polson Loaves & Fishes.  More details at www.polsonrunning.com

1ST ANNUAL POKER PADDLE
The Flathead Lakers present the 1st Annual Poker Paddle to be held Sunday, July 12, 2015 on King's Point. Cost is $50 for the first hand (includes meal and raffle ticket plus registration good bag), up to 2 additional hands for $30 each. The University of Montana IPHARM, Improving Health Among Rural Montanans program, is offering free health screenings, Monday, July 13 from 9AM until 12 noon at Providence St Joseph Medical Center in Polson. Providence in conjunction with IPHARM will be offering bone density, blood glucose and cholesterol screenings.  The cholesterol test requires a 9-12 hour fast for complete results; but please drink plenty of water.  Free blood pressure readings will also be available. 44TH ANNUAL SANDPIPER ART FESTIVAL
Founded in 1971, the Sandpiper Art Festival is a one day juried show featuring original fine art and artisan crafts. It is held on the Lake County, Montana, courthouse lawn from 10am to 5pm. All artists and artisans are encouraged to apply. The Sandpiper Art Festival is typically attended by thousands of visitors. The Festival offers you both an opportunity for sales and exposure to new, potential patrons. NEW for 2015: Vendors will pay a flat booth fee of $75.00; there will be no commission on sales. All funds raised by the Festival go to support the Scholarship fund and the general operation of the non-profit member-run cooperative Sandpiper Art Gallery in Polson, Montana. FIRST ANNUAL FLATHEAD LAKE FESTIVAL OF ART
Sandpiper Art and Gift Gallery is pleased to announce an exciting new two-day juried show, featuring original fine art and fine craft. It will be held at the edge of the bay in Sacajawea Park in Polson, Montana on August 15th & 16th. Flathead Lake Festival of Art is partnering with the established and successful Flathead Lake Blues Festival (now in its 5th year). These two events provide a scenic daytime venue for talented artists and two evenings of great music, Friday and Saturday from 6:00 PM until midnight. The events are at adjacent locations, with art at Sacajawea Park and music at Salish Point, with high visibility from Highway 93 and Polson Bay.
