PSA MEETING
The Polson Shooter's Association (PSA) will hold its annual general membership meeting for all members and would be members on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the Polson VFW.  The meeting will start with a no host bar social hour at 5PM and dinner at 6PM with the meeting to follow dinner.  The cost of the spaghetti dinner is $5 per person and this will be waived for those joining or renewing membership at the General Membership Meeting.  On the agenda will be election of officers as well as discussion of future range activities.  We will be open to your suggestions and comments.  For more information regarding the range, PSA memberships and the meeting contact Rob St Clair at 883-1110 or Mauri Morin at 249-2250.

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM
The Miracle of America Museum located at 36094 Memory Lane, Polson MT has moved their "Night At The Museum" to the fourth Thursday of each month. Programs start at 6:30 PM. Treats and donations are accepted.  The program for Thursday, January 28, 2016 is "A Pair of Kings" celebrating the birthday of Martin Luther King by examining collectables in the Black History display and sharing some of his important quotes. They extend a special welcome to school students who may have taken part in the various MLK essay contests around the valley and wish to share their essay. To conclude the evening they will celebrate the birthday of the king of rock and roll, Elvis Presley, by watching "Jailhouse Rock".

HEART HEALTH MONTH
February is Heart Health Month and Providence St. Joseph Medical Center is celebrating with free CPR classes. The classes are every Saturday in February from 9-11AM and again from 1-3PM in the Grandview Lobby.  Call Cindy Hagen at 883-7488 to register or for more information.

HEART HEALTH SCREENING
February is Heart Health month and Providence St Joseph Medical Center is celebrating with Heart Screenings.  They will be offering a cardiac health profile for $49 which includes a complete metabolic panel, blood count and thyroid stimulating hormone test.  Lipid profiles will be offered at no charge.   No appointment necessary.  Do not eat or drink anything for 10 hours before the test.  Check in at the front desk.  Baseline EKG's are also available for $30.  These tests are offered Mondays, Wednesday and Friday from 7-10AM through February at Providence St Joseph Medical Center.

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP
Partners in Home Care and Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson are hosting a bereavement support group. This six week series is for adults grieving the death of a loved one. It is recommended that participants wait at least 2 months after a death before attending a group. This group is free and open to the public Thursday, February 11- March 31 from 4-5:30PM at the O'Malley Conference Room at St. Joseph Medical Center. Registration is required by February 5th. WINTERFEST BENEFIT
Blue Smoke will headline Polson's 7th Annual Winterfest on Saturday, February 20 at 5PM at the Elks in Polson.  Tickets are $10 at the door and children 10 years and younger are free accompanied by a parent.  There will be great food, auction, 50/50 and dancing until midnight with proceeds to benefit "Soup's On" and other projects concentrating on homelessness and hunger. JULY 4 PARADE
Please join us for the July 4th Parade in downtown Polson beginning at Noon.  Parade entry forms are available at the Chamber office or click here.  Entry forms must be returned to the Polson Chamber office by July 3rd. The parade will begin at Cherry Valley Elementary School, Head down Main Street, turning at 3rd Ave and ending on the following block. This 3-on-3 basketball tournament is played in the streets of downtown Polson,  July 22th - 24th 2016 just a slam dunk away from beautiful Flathead Lake.  Please join us for one of the most fun and popular athletic events in Montana. Financial support provided mainly through team fees and corporate sponsors has enabled 3on3 to donate its net proceeds to local charities. The 5th annual Polson Triathlon will be held on Saturday, August 20 at Riverside Park.  The Polson Triathlon is a locally run, locally inspired Olympic distance triathlon. Please visit www.polsontriathlon.com for more information. The annual Rotary Chili Cook off will be held Saturday, August 27 from 10AM-2:30PM. Make sure you purchase your raffle tickets to help the Jr golf program.  Tickets are only $25 each or 5 for $100.  There are 6 prizes to choose from: $1000 in cash, $1000 in groceries, $1000 in gas, 300-350 lbs of cut beef, a wine cellar of a minimum of 60 bottles of wine or two 2016 season golf passes to Polson Bay Golf Course. Chapter 1122 of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) will be hosting the 18th Annual Polson Fly-In at the Polson Airport on Saturday, September 10th and admission is FREE!  The public is invited to join pilots for an exciting day of aviation activities, beginning with a pancake breakfast at 8AM.
