Huckleberry Pancakes - Sunday until Labor Day
Huckleberry or Regular Pancakes served every Sunday morning.  All meals include Milk or Juice and Coffee.   Kids meals include one piece of bacon or sausage and adult meals include three pieces of bacon or sausage. Regular Pancakes:  $6.00 Children, $7.00 Adults Huckleberry Pancakes:  $8.00 Children, $9.00 Adults.

JULY 1 THRU JULY 4 ARLEE POWWOW CELEBRATION
Open to the public and free admission.   Arts, Crafts, Stick Games, Dance Competitions, Indian and other various ethnic foods. Sponsored by the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribal Nation and Yamncut (Drum Groups). Absolutely no alcohol, fiearms, unleashed dogs or motorcycles in the camp area. JULY 4 FIREWORKS CRUISE
Join the KwaTaqNuk for a 4th of July Cruise!  The Shadow Cruise will depart at 9:30 PM.  Tickets are $30.00 per person.  HorsD'oeuvres will be provided and the cruise will have a cash bar.  Reservations are HIGHLY encouraged!  Call Louis at 883-3636 to make your reservations.

JULY 4 PARADE & BLOCK PARTY

Show some patriotism and community spirit by entering the Polson Centennial 4th of July Parade sponsored by the Envision Polson! Youth Committee.  The Parade will begin at 12 noon.  The Parade route starts at the Polson-Flathead Historical Museum on Main Street and 8th and will end on Main and 3rd.  To participate in the Parade please contact Shelly Quinn at: wrapshack@bresnan.net or Brenda Dennis at BSD@commbank.net.  You may also pre-register on the morning of the event at 10 AM behind Cherry Valley School located on 9th Avenue and Main Street.   The  new and exciting fature of this year's parade will be the Main Street Block Party.  Main Street will be blocked off for two hours after the end of the parade for some family-friendly activities.  There will be food, fun, games,  and live music.  Stay around for the fireworks display at dusk on the  south side of the bridge sponsored by the Polson Chamber of Commerce and the Marine Corps Leaque.

JULY 9 "COWBOY THE MAGIC HORSE" BOOK SIGNING
The Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana will host a book signing from 10AM until noon on Saturday, July 9 with guest author Sheila Heuer and illustrator Jacki Goedert for their book "Cowboy the Magic Horse".  The first of 12 stories is based on Heuer's true life kidney cancer discovery and treatment.  Please join us at the museum to hear more about this magical, miraculous story.

JULY 13 AND 14 RELAY FOR LIFE
Lake County Relay for Life will be held at the Ronan Sports Center.  It is an all night event to celebrate those who have won the battle against cancer, remember those who have lost their battle and to fight back against the disease so that people cannot be hurt by cancer in the future.  There are activities through the night, plenty of food, lots of laughs and many tears. It is truly an amazing experience that everyone is invited to participate in and help us toward one common goal...to find a cure for cancer!

JULY 16 AND JULY 17 LIVE HISTORY DAYS
You'll want to be at the Miracle of America Museum's annual Live History Days celebration July 16th and 17th.  There you can watch and often try your hand at numerous crafts.  There will be duck decoy carving, spinners, weavers of both wool and wheat straw, lace makers, embroidery and leather workers, quilters, and Native Americans doing bead work, basket making, and soap making.  There will be a buck-skinner with a black powder gun, axe throwers, a fly tier, blacksmiths and operators of engines, antique vehicles and tractors.  There will be three trains, a tank, army rigs and other vehicle rides, even a pump railroad velocipede, an operating sawmill, and schoolhouse activities.  Munch a lunch in the afternoon while you relax and enjoy Montana old time fiddlers, accordionists, banjo pickers and more.  Additional artists and craftspeople are welcome to join in for any of the two day event.  This is held rain or shine and the main building is air conditioned.  Admission is $5.00 for all over age three, and all rides are included as often as desired.  The food is extra.  On Sunday at 2 PM, there will be a big screen showing of "Smoke on the Waters" a documentary of steamboats of Flathead Lake, followed by "Timberjack" a 1950's movie partially filmed here.  To find us, take either Memory Lane (frontage road) exit off Highway 93 just south of Polson.

JULY 20 THRU JULY 22 KSANKA STANDING ARROW POW-WOW
The Kootenai Tribe, also known as the Ktunaxa Ksanka Band, welcome all nations and the general public to a "pow-wow weekend" the third weekend of July at Elmo Powwow Grounds. It is an Indian gathering featuring drumming, dancing and traditional dress and food.  Visitors are welcome and asked to respect the dance area, which is sacred.  Grand entries at 7PM Friday and at 1PM and 7PM on Saturday and Sunday.

Flathead Lake 3-on-3 on Main Street in Polson. 3 on 3 basketball tournament with 300 teams. All proceeds are donated back to the community including $1,000 to Chamber Beautification.

JULY 28 LAKE COUNTY 4-H LIVESTOCK SALE
Lake County 4-H Livestock Sale and Small Fry Livestock Show will be held on July 28th  at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Ronan.  Appreciation dinner will start at 6pm with sale starting at 7pm.

JULY 29, 2011 SKC FOUNDATION GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Salish Kootenai College Foundation would like to announce the 20th Annual Golf Scramble set for July 29th at the Silver Fox Golf Course in Pablo, Montana.  This is a 4 – person, 18 - hole event offering prizes for the longest drive, closest to the pin, Hole in One, plus more. Player's will also have access to unlimited Mulligan's and be treated to a barbeque at noon. Entry fee is $300.00 or $ 75.00 per player (covers green fees, carts and barbeque) with shotgun starts at 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  For more information, you can contact Mark Cordier at 675-PUTT (7888).  All proceeds benefit the SKC Scholarship Fund.
