  • May 2, 2009 at 2pm & 7pm (two showings), "THE SHAMRockers" at the John Dowdall Theatre
    $5 Gets You in the Door....And gets you five bucks off the ShamRockers CD "Just Plain Lucky".  No Reservations-Festival Seating.  The "Shamrockers" will be representing Polson at the National Festival in Pullman,Washington this summer.  Their CD release party is this Saturday at the John Dowdall Theatre.  Two Shows!

  • May 16, 2009 starting at 5:30, SKC ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP AUCTION AND GALA
    Salish Kootenai College will host its annual Scholarship Dinner and Auction from 5:30-11:00pm at the KwaTaqNuk Resort in Polson.  The goal is to raise money for students with financial need to achieve the dream of a higher education.  Your assistance is the key to student success.  There are three ways you can help:  1.  Make a cash donation from $200.00 to $2,000.00 to sponsor the event.  2.  Donate an item or service for the auction. 3. Attend the dinner and enjoy a good meal with friends.  Tickets are $40.00 for an individual or $70.00 per couple.  Have fun bidding on auction items.!  Tickets may be purchased

  • May 16, 2009 from 12-4pm, WOMEN ON THE GREEN GOLF CLINIC
    Save the date! Soroptimist International of Polson is sponsoring it's annual Women on the Green golf clinic on Saturday, May 16, at Polson Bay Golf Course from 12:00-4:00. Clinic events include lunch from 12:00-1:00 and breakout groups for long and short games and putting from l:00-4:00. Brandy Casey and pros from Kalispell and Missoula will be on hand for the instruction. Clinic and lunch cost is $75 per participant. Attendance will be limited to forty ladies. Sign up deadline for the clinic is May 13. Tickets for the lunch and clinic can be purchased at The Terrace and Wallace's Golf Shop. Participation is limited, so get your tickets early! This is a great way to jumpstart the golf season before bad habits settle in!

  • May 22,23,24 & 28,29,30,31, "SOUND OF MUSIC" presented by The Port Polson Players
    Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Sound of Music".  John Dowdall Theatre "On the Lake in Polson".  The story is renowned the world over as the Von Trapp Family Singers face the hardships and hazards of Nazi-occupied Austria at the outset of World War II with tunes like "Do,Re,Mi," "Edelweiss," "My Favorite Things" and "Climb Every Mountain".  A cast of 40 local performers present this classic.  May 22,23,24 and May 28,29,30,31.  Thurs.     Memorial Day Parade will start in Ronan at 10am and Polson at 12:00 Noon.  Memorial services at the Ronan Cemetery will be held immediately after the parade and services at the Polson Cemetery will be held immediately after the parade.
