SEPTEMBER 23 - NOVEMBER 13 FALL MACK DAYS
The Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes are sponsoring 2011 Fall Mack Days on Flathead Lake. It will be held Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays except for the last 10 days will be straight fishing days. Great prizes and a fish fry will be held on November 13 for all participants and their families at Blue Bay with the award ceremory at 5PM. Anglers may enter on the website www.mackdays.com, pickup applications at area sporting goods stores or call in their entries to 406-883-2888 ext. 7294. Entries will not be mailed out. Good Luck!

OCTOBER 7 SANDPIPER SHOW OPENS
The Sandpiper Art Gallery in Polson will hold an opening reception on Friday, October 7 from 5PM to 7PM for the show "Fins, Fur and Feathers" the gallery's annual non-juried invitational exhibition. Join us for the 5th Annual Live Locally 5K to take place on October 22, 2011 at 10 AM in honor of Lung Health awareness & National Pasta Month. OCTOBER 22 VERTICAL WINE TASTING - PINOT NOIR
Free Community Event - Vertical Tasting of Montana Pinot Noir - October 22nd – 10 am to 5 pm. Mission Mountain Winery encourages all wine lovers to attend our free event on Saturday, October 22nd – 10 am to 5 pm . This is a part of the winery's continuing program to educate the community about the aging and care of fine wine. What is a vertical tasting? It is the presentation of wine from older to younger vintages allowing one to see the effects of time upon a wine from the same place. We will start off with a 1998 vintage Mission Mountain Winery Pinot Noir and followed by the 2001, 2003 and 2006 vintages. Mission Mountain Winery is located on Highway 93 in Dayton on the west shore of beautiful Flathead Lake.

OCTOBER 29 MONSTER MASH RUN
The Monster Mash is an annual event sponsored by the school district and held the Saturday before Halloween. It consists of a one mile fun run and a 5K fun run. Participants can run or walk in costume if they choose, making for a colorful spectacle for everyone to enjoy! Many volunteers are needed to help with registration, spot the course, and track finishers. This event is designed to offer choices for healthy living thru fitness to all students, their families, friends, and members of the community.
