ASSISTANCE FOR BUSINESS CLINIC
The Assistance for Business Clinics are developed to assist new and established employers, accountants, bookkeepers, human resource professionals and lawyers in constructing a proactive approach to prevent unnecessary claims and/or charges by providing updated reporting of state withholding, unemployment tax requirements, minimum wage laws, overtime laws, civil rights law, new hire reporting, identity theft and federal tax incentives. To be held at the Lake County Health Dept in Polson on October 5, 2010. Registration 7:30-8:00 with opening remarks and agency presentation 8:00-5:00. Cost is $40 or $35 each for 2 or more attending participants. Sponsored by Job Service.

LIVE LOCALLY 5K RUN/WALK
In honor of lung Health Awareness & National Pasta month, HealthCare Plus and Country Pasta have teamed up to provide a 5K run/walk, incorporating local businesses as our theme is "Live Locally". There will be educational resources in regards to lung, health and an onsite respiratory therapist to answer questions. All participants will receive free pasta and, there will be an open prize drawing for all racers. All proceeds will be donated to Melinda Owen, a Polson, graduate who is training for the Summer Olympic Games in 2012. 10am start at Main & 7th, $15 with, t-shirt prior to Oct. 13.
