SEPTEMBER 10 WORLD WIDE PAINT OUT
The 9th Annual Worldwide Paint Out will be held at Riverside Park in Polson. Painters bring your own equipment and check in at 9AM. Showing and sale of work and photos for IPAP will be held at 4PM. Public is welcome. Prizes donated by local businesses will be raffled off at this time. This event is sponsored by Interational Plein Air Painters Organization and Sandpiper Art Gallery. Participants from all over the world along with local artists will share their 2011 work on the IPAP Web site where you can also view art from the 2010 Paint Out. It's free so just come and paint!

SEPTEMBER 11 ELKS GOLF TOURNAMENT
The 55th Annual Mission Valley Elks Lodge #1695 Golf Tournament will be held Sunday, September 11 at the Polson Bay Golf Course on the Old Nine. Men and Women Divisions start at 9AM. Entry fee is $40 for course season pass holders, $65 for all others. Entry includes automatic entry into Calcutta pot (no aution) blind draw, deuce pot, prizes, Elks picnic & beverages at Boettcher Park after play. Field is limited to the first 72 entries and is open to the public.

SEPTEMBER 15 ASSISTANCE FOR BUSINESS CLINIC
The Assistance for Business Clinics are developed to assist NEW and ESTABLISHED employers, accountants, bookkeepers, human resource professionals and lawyers in constructing a proactive approach to prevent unncessary claims an/or charges by providing updated reproting of state withholding, Unemployment Tax requirements, minimum wage laws, overtime laws and federal tax incentives.
The Polson Clinic will be held at the County Health Department and will be sponsored by the Job Service (JSEC). Registration is from 7:30 - 8:00. Opening Remarks & Agency Presentations will run from 8:00 - 5:00. The fee for the conference is $40.00/$35.00. Registration fees are set by the local sponsor to cover facility costs, including lunch. For more information or to register, please contact the Job Service Center in Polson or visit the Chamber of Commerce office to pick up a registration form.

SEPTEMBER 17 CONSTITUTION DAY
The Miracle of America Museum will be celebrating Constitution Day on September 17 at 6:30 PM. There will be a brief tour of the museum's Constitutional exhibits, followed by a DVD talk by Constitutional scholar Stephen Pratt. Following the DVD showing, there will be refreshments and discussion.

SEPTEMBER 23 UNDER THE AUTUMN SKY
St Luke's 11th Annual Foundation Dinner, Dance and Silent Auction will be held on Friday, September 23 at the Ronan Community Center. No host bar and silent auction begin at 6 PM with dinner at 7 and then dance the rest of the night away to the Tom Cats. Seating is limited. $75 per person, $600 for a table of 8 or $1000 for a sponsored table. Hope to see you there!

SEPTEMBER 23 - NOVEMBER 13 FALL MACK DAYS
The Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes are sponsoring the 2011 Fall Mack Days on Flathead Lake. It will be held Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays except for the last 10 days will be straight fishing days. Great prizes and a fish fry will be held on November 13 for all participants and their families at Blue Bay with the award ceremony at 5PM. Anglers may enter on the website www.mackdays.com, pickup applications at area sporting goods stores or call in their entries to 406-883-2888 ext. 7294. Entries will not be mailed out. Good Luck!
