Visitor Information

Welcome to Polson!

Located on the south shore of Flathead Lake, Polson is the perfect destination for a weekend, a week or a lifetime.

Flathead Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi in the lower 48 states, with over 200 square miles of water and 185 miles of shoreline.

There’s plenty to see and do year-round. Polson is an hour from Glacier National Park, Kalispell or Missoula. In the summer there’s water sports, golf, hiking, horseback riding, and theatre. In the winter, snowmobiling, ice fishing, cross-country skiing, or downhill skiing at Blacktail Mountain, just 45 miles north.

When you arrive, stop by the Chamber Office for Visitor Packets,  or contact us and we will mail you one before your trip.

If you decide to relocate to our little corner of paradise and make Polson your permanent home, the Chamber also offers Relocation Packets.

Come see why the Big Sky Country truly is the Last Best Place!
