250th Independence Celebration 2026

The Polson Chamber of Commerce will kick off the 2026 “Big 250” Independence celebration on July 3rd with our Polson Bay Independence Eve Fireworks Show. The celebration will continue at NOON on the 4th with a hometown parade that will take you back in time. For the evening of the 4th, beautiful, private fireworks shows light up across Polson Bay. Polson is the place to be for a 2 day celebration of our nation’s 250th anniversary of Independence.

The Polson Chamber of Commerce is helping to raise funds for the 2026 Fireworks Show and Parade.  These events are 100% funded by community donations and WE NEED YOUR HELP! 

The Polson community is proud to have earned its status as one of Montana’s most celebrated hotspots to observe our nation’s Independence. Polson offers a professional-grade Independence Eve fireworks show annually, which is paid for through a significant donation drive effort coordinated by the local Polson Chamber of Commerce. The generous year-over-year contributions of the Polson community members and visitors make Polson’s revered fireworks show possible. There are multiple channels to donate; contact the local Chamber office for details.

Parade // July 4, 2026 // 12 PM  // Main Street, Polson

In addition to the fireworks show, the 4th of July Parade brings the magic of the holiday to the quaint and charming Polson downtown district. The streets are lined with families and children eager to collect various candy being disbursed by all the fun and creative parade floats.

Individuals/groups/businesses/organizations, etc., can register to join the parade lineup by filling out the parade entry form and paying a $25 fee.

We’re excited to announce the Little Stars & Stripes Ride — a mini parade just for kids and their decked-out bikes, wagons, strollers, and scooters! This fun, patriotic kicks off the main parade in downtown Polson at noon. The line-up begins at 11:30 am at the Lake County Health Building next to Cherry Valley. Children will either reunite with their parents along the parade route, or parents are welcome to walk alongside their child.
