The Flathead Lake Rock Skipping Championship, or FLRSC, is an all ages family friendly competition that encourages chuckers, gerplunkers, tossers, flingers, wingers, and slingers to come test their rock skipping skills on the shores of Flathead Lake. Conceived to create greater awareness for the Mission Valley Ice Arena, this annual competition is becoming the event that really gets summer skipping along.
Registration: Saturday, 9:00-9:40 a.m. at The Cove.

9:50 Bagpipe Procession down to Riverside
9:55 National Anthems, USA and Canada.
Event: Riverside Park – 10:00 am -11:00 a.m.
B.Y.O.R. (Bring Your Own Rocks).
Adults: 6 attempts, 12-Under: 4 attempts. Best rock of 6 throws.
*Ranked by number of skips distinguishable by the unaided human eye.
Each rock is scored by the average number of “skips” recorded by three expert judges.
Judges score is final. (IF there are any questions on the throw, the rock-in-question must be retrieved and brought before the judges for any further review.). Then all challenges will be thrown out.
11:00 – 11:30 a.m. Awards presentation- lunch at the Cove: Pizza and Drinks included for all participants.
Entry fee: $15 for adults, $12 for age 12-under. ($45 – family of 4 or more members.)
