The library’s amateur astronomy club is partnering with the Coalition for Public Understanding of Science, or COPUS, which brings together brilliant scientists and organizations dedicated to science from around the globe. This year they’re throwing a science fair at the library on Saturday, September 15th. The event will run from 11 AM to 3 PM and will give you the chance to interact with internationally acclaimed scientists and experts as well as catch up on developments closer to home, such as the work being done through SciNation on the Flathead Reservation and the library’s NASA @ My Library grant.
This event will feature a variety of hands-on displays and activities, as well as freebies and swag while supplies last. Want your picture taken on the surface of the Moon? Want to meet the library’s newest telescope, thanks to the Space Science Institute and other N@ML partners? Join us at the library!
