We will be showing Earthrise, a 30-minute documentary short from 2018 that “tells the story of the first image captured of the Earth from space in 1968. Told solely by the Apollo 8 astronauts, the film recounts their experiences and memories and explores the beauty, awe, and grandeur of the Earth against the blackness of space” (quote courtesy of the Earthrise website at www.earthrisefilm.com, where you can find out more and view a trailer). Many thanks to Go Project Films for allowing us to screen this documentary free of charge! This film is unrated by the MPAA, but is widely considered appropriate for all ages. This screening will be followed by fun Moon-related crafts and activities appropriate for school-aged children.
