The USDA Value Added Producer Grant Program assists farmers and ranchers in the development of value added products. Join us for this free workshop to learn more about the program and how it can help you finance your value added products. Grants and matching funds can be used for planning activities or expenses related to producing and marketing a value-added agricultural product.

Lad Barney, Business Programs Specialist, USDA Rural Development – Kalispell office
Lad has also served as Area Director for RD Missoula & Kalispell offices since August 2008. He was the Director of the Small Business Development Center at the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce for five years and also served as Operations Manager and Lead Sales Consultant for two technology solution providers.
Heather Handeland, Area Specialist, Missoula Area Office, USDA Rural Development
Heather has worked for Rural Development for 16 years and administers the Rural Business Programs with the goal of improving the economy and quality of life in rural America. The Missoula Area Office provides services to Mineral, Sanders, Missoula, Ravalli, Granite, Lake and Powell counties.
